First time we've ordered from here and it was one of the best Italian takeaways we've had in the northern suburbs. Had a quick look online afterwards at the restaurant/shop front and was surprised; its appearance definitely belies the quality of the food and service. Arrived 20 mins earlier than they said, but hey, underpromising is better than overpromising!
Garlic and Cheese Focaccia Pizza was excellent, had the right balance of ingredients and cooked well. Calabrese and Chicken & Advocado pasta sauces were just as good, seeming freshly ingredients and rich sauces, whoever cooked them clearly knows what they are doing! The pastas were decent quality and not overcooked. Spaghettini for one and what appeared to be large pennoni instead of penne for the other (not complaining, good to get variation on usual takeaway pasta fare). Its evident that these guys care more about their patrons than most, and it didnt go unnoticed. Each pasta came in a container wrapped in tin foil to help keep it warm and it was still a perfect temp by the time we tucked in. Also, they each came with a little tub of parmesan, which I've never seen done before but definitely should be the norm everywhere. Granted its not fresh parmasan, its the shop-bought powder-style stuff, but we dont mind it and its better than nothing if you dont have anything at home.
Great value for money. Will definitely be coming back here. If you read these reviews, guys (George?) - Love your work!
